Life Really is Like a Box of Chocolates

A few mornings ago, I woke with a start; my sleep shattered by some dream for which there was no significant meaning. I stole outside to drink coffee on my patio, aware of the world waking from its own slumber; albeit, much  slower than my own awakening.

My jumbled, early morning thinking organized itself into pre-vacation to-do lists, prayers of thanksgiving and petitions before the Throne. Those petitions included a list of people in my life who are going through long, darkened seasons. These are seasons of great trials that appear to never end, leaving my friends exhausted, beat down and wondering about this God they love. My thoughts transitioned from prayer petitions to chocolate. Yea, I know reader – let me explain.

How exactly does Chocolate relate to our lives as Believers? Written by Elfinfun over at Elfinfun’s Blog, this a great analogy of how two types of chocolate relate to our walk with Christ. We all have our ups and downs, now what about that chocolate?

I am a believer in God. I am not religious, I’ll leave that to others. I write about many things in this Christian life. When I write I’m not only writing to any of you who read what I write, I’m also writing to myself. I don’t have the Christian walk down pat by a long shot as those who know me would tell you! I simply enjoy writing about God and our walk with Him, and hope that what I write will bless someone. This ability to write is a talent given me by God, this would not be here otherwise! I love music, especially Third Day! I love to read and am married.
